Dishroom Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Chartwells HE. As a Dishroom Attendant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dishroom areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, depending on assigned equipment and procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards, sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces, removing trash and placing it in designated containers, and steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, helping to load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
