Job Description

The Electrical Manager serves as the technical authority responsible for ensuring safe and reliable design, installation, and maintenance of all electrical assets. This individual provides engineering technical guidance on capital and operations projects throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Requirements
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited engineering program
    • Desired: Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five years of technical and field experience in the design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low and medium voltage power distribution systems
    • Minimum of five years relevant experience managing and leading teams, planning and implementing projects, budgeting, scheduling, and procuring goods/services
    • Strong working knowledge of computers, industrial controls networking, and Microsoft products
    • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 70) for commercial and industrial facilities
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) from the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 12 months of hire)
