Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in the development, documentation, and enhancement of methodologies and protocols utilized in the assembly, processing, testing, and manufacturing of Milwaukee Tool products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain operational method sheets (OMS) and associated documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for the team.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement to optimize production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Conduct analyses for equipment and process enhancements, providing justifications for capital expenditures and manufacturing costs.
  • Perform capability and time studies, followed by the execution of improvement strategies.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of equipment, tooling, and fixtures, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Measure and monitor key process metrics to effectively allocate resources.
  • Facilitate the transfer of critical information to relevant personnel across shifts and departments.
  • Manage budget reviews and forecasts, integrating them into daily operational decisions.
  • Engage in Kaizen initiatives and project engineering as required.

Compliance and Support:

Provide technical assistance regarding compliance issues related to quality, safety, and environmental standards, adhering to Milwaukee Tool policies. Act as a technical resource for manufacturing and maintenance teams, offering backup support for fellow engineers.

Team Contribution:

Contribute to team objectives by performing related tasks as necessary. Commit to a minimum of forty hours of training annually to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or (Electro-) Mechanical Engineering, with a preference for three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting. Supervisory experience is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of production systems and techniques is essential, along with the ability to apply problem-solving skills and root cause analysis. Familiarity with electromechanical systems and experience in troubleshooting and repair is highly preferred. Proficiency in computer skills is also beneficial.
