Job Overview

As a Donation Attendant, you'll play a vital role in our mission by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our store, maximizing revenue generation to support our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting donors and customers, and assisting with basic inquiries.
  • Sort and process donations according to company guidelines, ensuring accurate tracking and receipting.
  • Assist in the training and development of store team members, clients, and volunteers.
  • Perform various tasks, including loading and sorting materials, maintaining accurate records, and conducting self in a safe manner.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and Donated Goods Retail Operations team to achieve store goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to pass skills and knowledge assessment testing.
  • Pass drug test and criminal background check.

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this role include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull. The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift or use equipment to aid in the lifting and movement of items over 40 pounds.

Working environment is indoors with occasional exposure to outside temperatures, and will work around occupational allergens, including dust, animal hair and dander, perfumes, and mold.
