Key Responsibilities:
This role involves leading, training, and mentoring the project team, effectively prioritizing and assigning tasks, maintaining communication with tradespeople on-site, and monitoring project timelines to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Act as the primary technical resource for assigned projects.
- Provide updates on job progress and performance metrics.
- Manage project budgets effectively.
- Foster productive relationships with colleagues, clients, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members.
- Maintain compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking and attendance.
- Oversee third-party resources as necessary.
- Guide and supervise the work of apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school; a college degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction or a related field.
- Understanding of construction principles and practices, including efficient labor utilization.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in task assignments.
- Proficient in providing clear instructions and guidance.
- Capability to manage project labor hours and request change orders as necessary.
- Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Familiarity with company policies and relevant state and federal laws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Proficient in using computer tools including email, word processing, and project planning software.
- Effective time management and delegation skills to ensure successful project outcomes.
