Key Responsibilities- Medical Services Coordination: Ensure that physician's medication orders are accurately and timely executed, including delivery to outside facilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring that our medical services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Team Management: Delegate tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or unlicensed personnel who are competent to perform those tasks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with the Nursing Supervisor regarding potential issues and concerns.
- Scheduling and Meetings: Schedule and participate in treatment teams, panel reviews, department head meetings, and general staff meetings.
- Nursing Team Management: Manage nursing team schedules, conduct performance improvement activities, and prepare monthly reports.
- Clinical Complaint Resolution: Review and resolve client clinical complaints, and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Licensure and Experience: Licensed in VT as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years' experience.
- Substance Abuse Experience: Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine is preferred.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Accuracy of record keeping with understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State & CARF standards & regulations.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Nursing Principles and Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and community health and welfare resources.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Suite.
- Background Check: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
