Ranger Technician

About the Position

The Lorain County Metropolitan Park District is seeking a skilled Ranger Technician to join our team. As a Ranger Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our park rangers in their daily operations. Your duties will include performing maintenance tasks, assisting with enforcement efforts, and providing information and assistance to visitors.

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, physically fit, and has excellent communication skills. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess a valid Ohio driver's license and Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification. New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. Lorain County Metro Parks is an equal-opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance tasks and repairs

- Participate in special events and activities

Requirements

- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certification
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay and Benefits

This is a temporary position with a competitive hourly rate of $15-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience. Temporary employees can work up to 28 hours per week.
