Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality therapy services to our patients in Deer Park, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct speech therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician and in accordance with the Plan of Care.
  • Develop engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients.
  • Provide counseling and consultations for new patients and their family members.
  • Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges.
  • Prepare speech pathology equipment ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
  • Review patient files prior to appointments and have a clear understanding of the challenge to be addressed.
  • Attend continuing education courses to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Therapy and Licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Master's degree in speech therapy is required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges related to speech pathology tools.
  • Physical endurance and the ability to work primarily in a standing position.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor when explaining procedures and treatments.
  • Accountability and attention to detail when handling and documenting patient data.
