About the Role

Capgemini Government Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Requirements Development: Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • System Design and Development: Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • System Integration and Testing: Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develop user documentation.
  • System Architecture and Design: Develop system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • System Engineering Management: Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Government Liaison: Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Technical Integrity: Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and results associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communication: Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Technical Presentations: Develop and perform technical presentations for customers.
  • Customer Briefings: Serve as technical resource at customer briefings.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, NATO//SECRET; IAT Level II.
  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: Ten years' experience crafting and implementing information management systems.
  • Product Development: Three years of experience in product development, requirements generation, and testing methodologies, including direct control and responsibility over subordinate engineers working requirements, design, implementation, and testing of distributed cloud applications and services.
  • Cloud Engineering: Demonstrated ability in the development, implementation, and administration of multi-tenant, enterprise web-based solutions using automated processes and tools to perform system availability and integrity monitoring, validate security and configuration compliance, and ensure sensitive data protection.
  • Cloud Service Providers: Three years of experience with commercial cloud service providers engineering solutions in a Linux and Windows multi-tenant environment on commercial cloud services (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, and/or if needed for the new CSPs).
  • Governance: Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead at a Platform level.
  • Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies.
  • Adaptability: Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities.
  • Product Release Management: Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
  • Communication and Facilitation: Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er).
