Your Contribution:

At WNA Engineering, the ideal candidate will possess expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, enabling them to effectively realize our vision and mission. As the Systems Commissioning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in leading the commissioning process and collaborating closely with our Project Managers. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commissioning team and the overall commissioning process.
  • Develop and modify project commissioning plans.
  • Engage in peer reviews of design specifications.
  • Assess equipment submittals for compliance.
  • Facilitate commissioning team meetings.
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure adherence to Construction Documents and generate corresponding reports.
  • Maintain a log of identified deficiencies.
  • Design, witness, and document functional testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with our Engineers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Verify and oversee owner training sessions.
  • Compose comprehensive commissioning reports.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical knowledge equivalent to either:
    • Associate/Technical Degree in Architectural, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering, or
    • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a Controls Technician or HVAC Tradesman.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in commissioning processes.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience within the Construction Industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, depending on project requirements.
  • Project Management and Mechanical Design experience is a plus.
