Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registration Clerk to join our team at LifePoint Health. As a Registration Clerk, you will be responsible for performing receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with direct and scheduled patient admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform receptionist duties, including greeting patients and visitors, and responding to phone calls and messages.
- Register patients for admission, including collecting demographic and insurance information.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
