Soliant is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school-based setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with students who have a range of physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges, helping them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional abilities and needs.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and Document Progress: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert input on students' occupational therapy needs.
- Educate and Support Staff and Parents: Educate and support school staff and parents on techniques to assist students in achieving greater independence.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- State Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-Oriented Environment: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
