Transportation Operations Lead

As a Transportation Operations Lead at Vectrus, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe transportation of passengers and baggage within the Fort Liberty and Pope Army Airfield area of operation. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure drivers follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete all credentialing tasks in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT), North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) and Vectrus safety and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provides guidance and technical assistance to drivers in the performance of day-to-day activities
Ensures drivers follow SOPs and complete all credentialing tasks
Responsible for driver schedules and verifies actual hours worked by personnel
Plans and directs personnel and required resources for day-to-day mission support
Attends or provides briefings and reports as directed or required
Performs before/during/after, operator level operations and safety equipment checks/inspections
Ensures all safety equipment is on-hand and serviceable
Drives passengers and baggage in and around the Fort Liberty and Pope Army Airfield area of operations
Assist passengers with baggage
Ensures that passenger travel is safe and timely
Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays; and works overtime as required
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen
High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of progressively responsible related experience, or any combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
Demonstrates professionalism, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must have a valid State commercial driver's license Class A or B with a passenger endorsement
Current Medical Examiner's certificate and/or medical variance documents (Vision, Skills Performance or Diabetic waivers, or other exemptions)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must have a clear driving record
Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable
Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Military Installation
