Job Summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Astronomy courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and participating in program evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction in Astronomy courses
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Maintain college and department standards
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related physical science sub-field. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related physical science sub-field may be considered. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom and have coursework that reflects competencies in the courses to be taught.
