The Lee Health team is seeking a skilled and dedicated pharmacist to join our pharmacy department at Lee Memorial Hospital. As a pharmacist on our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, dispense, and monitor medications used throughout the facility.
- Sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups.
- Directly supervise technical support personnel.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department.
Requirements:
- PharmD required or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
- Five years of professionally responsible pharmacist experience required for Bachelors degree holders.
- One year of recent inpatient hospital experience as staff pharmacist or pharmacy intern in a general medical/surgical hospital preferred for PharmD candidates.
- State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Registered Pharmacist Licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, data entry skills, analytical and basic math skills required.
