About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Engineer I to join our team at QuidelOrtho. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our plastic components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for changes involving QuidelOrtho's supply base for plastic components
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new plastic components and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality and supply chain issues
  • Conduct detailed analysis of requests and provide guidance and technical solutions to facilitate changes in support of QuidelOrtho's change control processes and requirements
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in the plastics industry or a related field
  • Strong understanding of standard engineering and manufacturing theories, concepts, principles, and techniques
  • Ability to use standardized test methods to solve technical problems
  • Working knowledge of injection molding process development and familiarity with the plastics industry
