Job Overview:This part-time position entails 28 hours of work per week and reports to the Director of Adult Education. The primary responsibilities include the management and upkeep of Chromebooks utilized in Adult Education settings across the region. The technician will collaborate with IT personnel in educational institutions, correctional facilities, and various business sites to ensure compliance with system requirements. The role also involves providing support to educators and learners in accessing necessary programs and acting as the main contact for IT-related inquiries. The technician is expected to address IT service requests within a 24-hour timeframe. Additionally, the technician will oversee remote testing sessions and in-person assessments at designated facilities. Coordination of IT requirements with the Commonwealth's IT Team and obtaining quotes from vendors for educational software licenses are also key responsibilities. The technician will assist during registration periods to facilitate Chromebook usage and manage social media communications.
Compensation Details:
The hourly hiring range for this position is $25.59-$34.55. Actual hourly rate will be determined based on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time role, limited to a maximum of 29 hours per week, and does not qualify for health or leave benefits. However, there may be opportunities for educational benefits through professional development and educational assistance programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant experience with Google Workspace for Education
- Proficiency in WiFi connectivity and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to assess system requirements for instructional technology
- Strong communication skills across various platforms, including email and in-person interactions
- Experience in proctoring online assessments
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
