Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse RN to lead our OBGYN department at Sacred Heart Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned areas.

Responsibilities
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population-appropriate patient care is given.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 or more years of experience in OBGYN.
  • 1 or more years of experience in leadership/management experience.
  • Experience with Athena is a plus.
