The RoleThis exciting opportunity as a Senior Production Development Engineer - Starlink Factory Lead involves designing, developing, and implementing high-volume production processes for our Starlink factory. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, throughput, and security of our products. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the success of our Starlink program and contributing to the advancement of space technology.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop user terminal production factory design, including building requirements, facility resources, and part flow to meet production rate of millions of units/year
- Implement data acquisition and tracking for production and quality metrics, as well as environmental, testing, and safety controls
- Define new business processes and systems for high-volume production, including manufacturing execution, inventory management, nonconformance resolution, configuration management, material traceability, process control, and maintenance
- Owning floor layouts, capacity studies, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time product delivery
- Acting as a subject matter expert in multiple Starlink production processes and systems, enabling complex data gathering, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, industrial, or other engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial project management
