We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Sebring Wauchula Lake Placid. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during treatment and examination of patients, administering procedures and treatments as ordered.
- Obtain accurate patient information, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations and instruct them on collection of samples and tests.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with AdventHealth Division policy and procedures.
- Respond to and return incoming telephone calls in a timely manner.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or 3 years experience.
- BLS (condition of employment).
- CMA /RMA.
- Registered or Certified from a recognized Medical Assistant Program.
