Supply Chain Intern Role

The Supply Chain Intern will be assigned to the appropriate department and scheduled to work for a designated period. Responsibilities include supporting supply chain assurance through business continuity plan surveys, critical supply management, and procurement system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support supply chain assurance through business continuity plan surveys and reviews
  • Proactively source alternate plans for high-priority items
  • Pedigree mapping for necessary supplies to support disruption event software
  • Support procurement system improvements, including linkage of equipment with key accessories and expansion of pictures and data sheets on items
  • Review contract termination clauses and create education programs for central supply managers

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include being actively enrolled in a college or university (Junior/Senior level students are preferred), class experience in the prospective field, and intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Interns must be able to work in our Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama.
