Job Summary:

Invenergy is a leading developer of renewable energy projects, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our project development efforts by furthering our understanding of the economics of our projects and leading strategic initiatives with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze the economic merits and risks associated with wind, solar, and storage projects. Collaborate with our engineering, development, and commercial teams to develop assumptions for project models.
  • Economic Analysis: Assess and interrogate the integrity of economic models, communicate key assumptions to leadership, and ensure all key assumptions are properly documented.
  • Model Calibration: Work closely with project developers to ensure economic models are properly calibrated to account for key unknowns.
  • Sensitivity Analysis: Run model sensitivities to assess how primary assumptions may affect pricing and/or returns.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inconsistencies across models and provide feedback to development on how to ensure proper alignment of assumptions across projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with advisors, trade groups, and legal counsel to improve economic models or development strategy.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training to others in the organization to further their understanding of project economics.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 1+ years of professional experience
  • Skills: Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel, with demonstrable experience managing complex financial valuation models
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the energy, banking, consulting, or utilities sector
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management: Ability to advance numerous projects in parallel and provide concise communication to others
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
