Highway Engineer Job Description

STV is seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Division in one of our offices in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Douglassville, Harrisburg, PA, Newark or Lawrenceville, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and review all phases of highway plan development for various transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with transportation agencies throughout PA and/or NJ.
  • Develop and implement highway design solutions, including geometric design, traffic control, signing, and pavement marking.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and manage right-of-way plans.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers in highway design tasks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Successful completion of the PE exam.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in highway design.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to determine scope of work and prepare estimates for highway engineering tasks.
  • Quality control oversight for highway engineering tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads, and AutoTAB.
