Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Ohio Basement Authority, A Groundworks Company. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing production jobs to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead production projects involving metal stud framing, drywall installation, painting, LVT flooring, drop ceilings, and pre-hung interior doors.
  • Taking measurements and preparing the site for installation.
  • Installing drywall, fixtures, and fittings such as handles, locks, and hinges.
  • Selecting and evaluating materials for potential defects.
  • Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other tradesmen.
  • Following all standards for remodeling projects.
  • Performing finish carpentry including trim and flooring.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2+ years of construction-related field leadership and installation experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards.
  • Knowledge of carpentry.
  • Ability to operate equipment and/or power tools and train others to operate them.
  • Ability and willingness to train, motivate, and inspire crew members.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Availability to work flexible days/hours to include weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:

The position requires good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina and be able to lift heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs.
