Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Iowa Wood Preservers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a leading supplier of wood preservation products in the greater Midwest area.

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of lumber throughout our facilities. You will operate industrial forklifts to load and unload semi-trucks and rail cars, as well as relocate lumber within our concrete yard.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. We do not require weekend work or overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek.

  • Unload materials from incoming trucks and/or rail cars and stack them to assigned places.
  • Locate lumber on the yard and move materials to storage or for shipment.

You will also be responsible for conducting daily inspections of the lift machine and reporting any maintenance needs. Additionally, you will help maintain a safe and orderly environment within our facilities.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have at least three years of experience as a forklift operator, along with excellent attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent necessary.
