Job Title: Camera and Depth Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Camera and Depth Hardware team within Reality Lab's AR/VR products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and productization of electrical engineering solutions for our high-performance camera and depth products.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mixed-signal ASICs and systems used in our camera and depth solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to transform research technologies into physical solutions.
  • Implement and debug mixed-signal ASICs, board-level circuitry, high-speed RF signal integrity, and systems used in our solutions.
  • Develop novel solutions to complex electronics problems.
  • Work closely with system electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of camera and depth modules into Reality Lab's devices.
  • Develop design methodologies and best practices for the Camera and Depth EE team.
  • Implement our PDP methodology in all designs and present work in design reviews.
  • Assess vendors and manage outsourced development of PCBs.
  • Lead debugging and failure analysis activities.
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electronic hardware development.
  • 3+ years of consumer product life cycles of experience or related experience.
  • Experience with system-level design, including circuit design, high-speed, RF, signal integrity, PCB layout, system bring-up, integration, and/or debug.
  • Experience with low-power analog circuit design, DC/DC converters, power management methods, A/D and D/A conversion, and image sensors.
  • Experience with designing electrical subsystems such as power regulators, high-speed digital signal integrity, SOC, and micro-controllers.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent.
  • Proven understanding of power characterization and signal integrity test.
  • Experience with developing detailed test plans and performing electrical hardware validation.
  • Experience with laboratory validation work, including testing and validating completed reworks/assemblies/development platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electronic hardware development.
  • 5+ years of consumer product life cycles of experience.
  • Experience with camera or depth sensor electrical design.
  • Experience with laser driver or camera and depth sensor chip architectures.
  • Experience developing modules or systems in high-volume consumer electronic products.
