About the Role

At Fairleigh Dickinson University, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Windows Systems Architect to join our team in Teaneck, NJ. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data center systems. As a Senior Windows Systems Architect, you will be responsible for managing Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 in an Active Directory environment. You will also oversee the management of Microsoft Active Directory services, including user account maintenance, server backup, restore, patching, and quota management.

In this role, you will work closely with our IT team to ensure all changes are made in accordance with FDU's change control, security, and risk assessment policies. You will also maintain a working knowledge of continuing developments in Computer Security and analyze information to recommend process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot data center systems
  • Manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 in an Active Directory environment
  • Oversight of Microsoft Active Directory services, including user account maintenance, server backup, restore, patching, and quota management
  • Ensure compliance with FDU's change control, security, and risk assessment policies
  • Maintain a working knowledge of continuing developments in Computer Security
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Systems Administration
  • Strong knowledge of setting up, maintaining, and monitoring system hardware in data centers
  • Strong knowledge of managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS
  • Experience managing ADFS and directory sync into Azure AD
  • Experience utilizing various backup software in a virtualized environment like Veeam
