Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant - Family Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the Naval Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, assisting with patient check-ins and admissions, and performing various clinical tasks as directed by the healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, and discharges
  • Perform vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading
  • Document patient information, including medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs
  • Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by the healthcare team
  • Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies
  • Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Medical Assisting from an accredited program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized organization
  • Minimum of one year of full-time experience in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
