Job Summary

Provide expert instruction and support to students in the field of diesel technology. Establish and teach courses that meet college curriculum standards, utilizing innovative teaching methods and materials. Engage with students through academic advising, professional development, and institutional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach diesel technology courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi, ensuring alignment with college and departmental guidelines.
  • Provide academic advising to students, including guidance on course selection and career paths.
  • Participate in professional development activities, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
  • Contribute to institutional service, including committee work and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in the medium/heavy duty truck and/or industrial diesel industry within the past 15 years.
  • 1 year of college-level teaching experience preferred.
  • ASE Certificate T1-T8 required; ASE Master Truck Certification T1-T8 preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications and 6 years of work experience in the industry may be considered in lieu of required degree.
  • Knowledge of computer software and technology, including learning management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with diverse populations.
