Job Summary

The Life Enrichment Director at Edencrest at Timberline delivers meaningful opportunities to residents by developing an activity program that incorporates the Six Dimensions of Wellness. The program reflects individual differences in social, physical, intellectual, environmental, spiritual, and emotional preferences. Opportunities are provided for various types and levels of involvement. The work schedule must be flexible, including evenings and weekends, to support the Manager on Duty rotation. The Life Enrichment Director oversees the work of other team members within the Resident Engagement Department, including the Life Enrichment Assistant or Memory Care Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete a comprehensive new resident assessment and develop a personalized activity plan.
  • Maintain and follow a budget for activity supplies and resources.
  • Develop and implement a monthly activity calendar that meets the diverse needs and interests of residents.
  • Coordinate and supervise planned group outings and events.
  • Maintain inventory of activity equipment and supplies, and ensure the activity areas are organized and well-maintained.
  • Comply with all state regulations and company policies related to Assisted Living.
  • Promote and encourage resident participation in activities.
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute events and programs.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Life Enrichment Director and other department members.
  • Manage the Country Store and ensure it is well-stocked and organized.
  • Create and maintain life stations in Memory Care for resident use and update them as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with the elderly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and written skills.
  • Passion for helping the elderly and promoting their well-being.
