Ebenezer is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support services to our residents. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal cares, including bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, nail care, dressing, and showers, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Support patients by helping to turn, lift, or transfer, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Observe residents and report their status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner, promoting effective communication and care coordination.
- Chart or document in our electronic medical record system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Seek to resolve resident and family concerns, providing empathetic and compassionate support.
- Receive and give report to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Perform environmental and other responsibilities as assigned, including maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answering phones in a timely manner.
- May check and record vitals, per facility practice, promoting accurate and timely care.
Qualifications:
- Active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date.
- If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
- Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Experience working in a patient support role (HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant), or in a customer service setting.
