Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As an Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access, manage, and update patient medical records through the Hospital Electronic Medical Record Information System.
  • Accurately access patient medical records, input physicians' orders, and review documentation for ongoing patient care.
  • Communicate patient records with ancillary hospital services and maintain patient confidentiality as outlined by privacy and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Practice core competencies according to the ARRT Standards of Ethics.
  • Educate patients on imaging and safety procedures, including the biological effects of radiation and/or magnetic field protection and safety.
  • Position patients on imaging tables and utilize immobilization devices as warranted for safety or to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body.
  • Administer contrast media orally or intravenously according to Radiologist and/or Pharmacy guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during procedures through direct contact, two-way voice communication, or through control room windows and/or closed-circuit TV screens.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Current Montana State Licensure.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
