Essential Accountabilities for the Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload, documenting and monitoring student progress regularly.
  • Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs).
  • Write educationally relevant therapy goals and student information background within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs).
  • Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family-friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
  • Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
  • Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
  • Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure to practice Speech Language Therapy within the state of Ohio.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending, and understanding the English language.
  • Completed FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire).
  • Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire).
  • Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by governing body.
  • Positive and goal-oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and work well with others.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations.
  • Compatible with company culture and core values.
