Job Overview

We are a rapidly expanding landscaping company seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of small engine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair various types of small engine equipment, including two-cycle mowers, using a deep understanding of small engine mechanics and a keen eye for detail.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication, to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  • Inspect and test equipment to identify malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, and pressure gauges.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and parts, and repair or replace worn, defective, or broken components.
  • Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management about equipment issues and potential solutions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Small Engine Technician.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with brands like Dingos, Toro, Stihl, Honda, and others.
  • Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on various types of small engine equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of small engines.
  • Must have a tool and toolbox.
  • Ability to work 2pm-11pm.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with all safety precautions and standards in the industry.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy machinery and work in diverse conditions.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.
