Key Responsibilities
  • Interview clients to determine eligibility for public assistance programs

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in client intake activities, preferably in social services
  • Ability to read and write, keep accurate records, and follow instructions
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply agency and state regulations
  • Ability to develop plans, prioritize, and organize work
  • Ability to interact with people, provide excellent customer service, and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to perform accurate and timely mathematical calculations
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
Special Requirements
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a pre-employment TB test and submit a TB test annually
  • Must pass a post-offer initial physical examination and submit a physical examination report every five years
  • Must have transportation and current liability coverage on vehicle
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and have a approved driving record
