Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are looking for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- The Staff RN will report directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, while maintaining communication with the House Supervisor.
- Responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care during the peri-operative phase, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across all age groups.
- Coordinate patient care with surgical teams, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, while guiding the OR Technician and other staff members to uphold professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care and efficient patient flow, while maintaining unit organization and standards.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and in-service training sessions.
- Act as a resource for other healthcare personnel as necessary.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Must possess a current and valid state RN License.
- Hold a current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it.
- ACLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must be kept current.
- PALS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must be kept current.
- A minimum of one year of prior perioperative experience or equivalent on-the-job training is necessary.
- Certification as a Nurse OR (CNOR) is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
