Job Overview

This role involves collaborating with project leaders and teams to develop comprehensive project manuals for various assignments. The specialist may handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed and thoroughly reviewed project manuals for designated projects.
  • Examine documents and drawings to ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Update and maintain Master Guide Specifications in accordance with AIA standards.
  • Provide training in specification software and educate staff on best practices.
  • Offer support for specification software usage.
  • Conduct research on materials and systems, including vendor outreach and educational opportunities.
  • Coordinate specifications authored by consultants involved in projects.
Qualifications
  • Preferred two to four-year degree in Drafting or Architecture.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in the Architecture and Engineering sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in document production with a focus on material specifications.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand architectural and engineering drawings.
