At Goodwill Southern California, we are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time hourly position that offers a competitive salary of $45-$60 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to buildings, utilities, grounds, furniture, and equipment at all Goodwill locations. This includes emergency repairs, as well as ongoing maintenance of operational equipment, utilities, furniture, grounds, and buildings.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and Email. Additionally, proficiency in Track-It, MS Visio, and MS Outlook is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to plumbing fixtures, heating, water, and drainage systems
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, rebuild, construct, and maintain woodwork, metal, gypsum, roofing, and other related materials and structures
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Perform HVAC maintenance, including filter replacement, cleaning, and lubricating
  • Create accurate scope of work and materials lists for repairs, replacements, modifications, and improvements
Requirements
  • Valid CA CDL and minimum required Auto insurance
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Shift flexibility and overtime when needed
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
