About the Role

Nemacolin Woodlands is seeking a skilled Banquet Saucier to join our culinary team. As a Banquet Saucier, you will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of all sauce preparation, purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, and presentation of food items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of sauces and other culinary items for banquets and events
  • Purchase, receive, store, and prepare food items as specified on menus
  • Maintain equipment in a professional manner and take inventory
  • Place orders for assigned station and uphold company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in the coordination of banquets and events, including setup, service, and breakdown
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Prepare and present food items in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Uphold company and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Relevant culinary qualification and experience in a hotel, resort, or quality restaurant
  • Experience in a four or five-star property desired
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Servsafe Certification preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with employees and guests
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
