Electrophysiology Interventional Specialist

Position Highlights:
Eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000
Plus, potential student loan repayment of up to $24,000
The Electrophysiology Interventional Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons within the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings. This position involves performing as both scrub and monitoring staff, ensuring radiation safety for patients and team members, and providing education to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Operate c-arm radiation equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed and demonstrating proficiency in all procedural applications.
- Prepare sterile environments with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques while functioning as scrub assist and hemodynamic monitor.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current devices used in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology, including atherectomy, IABP, IVUS, and various interventional procedures.
- Exhibit strong decision-making and critical thinking skills, responding effectively to emergency situations such as STEMI and Stroke alerts.
- Provide educational support to patients and families regarding procedures and cardiovascular health.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and report any deviations from established standards.
- Manage the CPACS database efficiently.
- Demonstrate competency in arterial and venous sheath removal and access site management.
- Recognize EKG changes and hemodynamic variations, alerting the Cardiologists as necessary.
- Assist in pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
- Maintain readiness for rapid transport for urgent surgical interventions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure and Certifications:
Licensed Medical Radiographer: MRAD:KY
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR, RCES, RCIS)
AHA Basic Life Support CPR (BLS-CPR) within 5 days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
