**Job Overview:**

Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks a Senior Battery System Designer to develop and produce sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics products. As an electro-mechanical engineer, you will serve as the Responsible Product Engineer for multiple THAAD battery products.

The successful candidate will have experience with high-reliability electronics or batteries through the product lifecycle and mechanical design experience with a strong understanding of electronics, structures, mechanics, and materials. Additionally, they will have 9+ years of professional experience; 7+ years with a Master's degree and an active Interim Secret or higher clearance.

In this role, you will work with a diverse team to field a highly mobile defense system providing critical capability to shoot a missile with a missile. This enables the U.S. military to effectively and reliably defend the U.S. and allied assets around the world.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Development and production of missile battery products supporting Missile Power & Comms.
  • Responsible Product Engineer for multiple THAAD battery products.
  • Drawing preparation, requirements/concept development, detail design, manufacturing process development and improvement, development testing, hardware qualification, discrepancy resolution, producibility, affordability, and obsolescence-driven re-designs.
  • Data analysis and failure investigation with root cause corrective action implementation.

We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
