About the Role:

  • Assist with the movement and tracking of samples throughout the laboratory, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient operations.
  • Manage working queues in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for multiple lab teams, streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to gather and consolidate samples for project requests, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Oversee the tracking and management of sample storage, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Perform routine workflows with minimal supervision, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Work collaboratively with the lab team to meet sample turnaround times, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Contribute to maintaining CLIA/CAP compliance through documentation assistance, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Approach work with a focus on safety and diligence, adhering to laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, including cleaning floors, labware, and disposing of biohazard materials.
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance and upkeep, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • 0-2+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of CAP regulations and laboratory SOPs.
  • Experience with laboratory safety and training.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and good communication and organization skills.
