- Address patient inquiries efficiently and assist in organizing comprehensive healthcare services.
- Provide information regarding second opinions, treatment options, or unavailable medical tests.
- Serve as an intermediary between patients and healthcare providers to ensure seamless interactions.
- Assist in scheduling appointments, diagnostic tests, and medical procedures promptly.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word.
- Strong telephone etiquette and effective communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with 1-2 years of experience in the medical field.
- Capability to sit, stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds and good visual acuity.
- Exposure to medical and office equipment in a moderately noisy environment.
