Staff Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ultrasound technologist to join our team at Southern Specialty Physicians. As a Staff Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our fast-growing private clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex vascular duplex ultrasound examinations, providing preliminary interpretations of studies performed.
  • Assist providers with ultrasound-guided vascular procedures.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance protocols and Quality Improvement measures within the facility.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program or Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in the performance of routine and complex vascular ultrasound is preferred but not required.
  • Vascular registry/certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or;
  • Vascular registry eligible with registration required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current RDMS registry or equivalent is preferred.
  • Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
  • Proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation and report generation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year experience with vascular and general ultrasound is preferred but not required.
  • Experience as required for registry in vascular technology/sonography by either ARDMS, ARRT or CCI.
