Northwell Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret and enter drug orders and patient data into our computer system.
- Select, prepare, and dispense drug products to fill inpatient and outpatient prescriptions.
- Label drug products according to procedure.
- Dispense employee prescriptions, initiate profile system, and provide drug information.
- Interact with healthcare personnel to provide information on drug action or delivery of various medications.
- Screen for drug allergy and drug interactions.
- Review patient charts and nursing medication-charting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain records and inventory of investigation drugs, controlled substances, and methadone.
- Manufacture, prepare, and label compound and solutions, and other sterile products.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Science and Practice as normally acquired through completion of a five (5) year Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in New York State.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience to ensure familiarity with hospital pharmacy practice, preferred.
