About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Sisters of Charity Hospital. As a key member of the perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the care and safety of perioperative patients under the direct guidance of the registered nurse.
  • Function as a member of the perioperative team responsible for assembly of case supplies, creating and maintaining the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon throughout the procedure.
  • Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique, combining knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with ancillary departments and other team members, participating in performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Successfully completed a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization.
  • Previous experience in an operating room is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions

Subject to inside environmental conditions. Available for extra and on call duties.
