Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the delivery of physical therapy services and patient care within a designated unit, ensuring seamless integration with business and department plans.
- Ensure that patient care and quality standards are met, complying with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, as well as established departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement systems, processes, and methods to evaluate and improve patient care within the unit, promoting continuous quality improvement.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the unit, monitoring quality service and utilization standards, and ensuring the delivery of patient care.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve staff development and the delivery of patient care, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers outside of the unit to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum, promoting a patient-centered approach.
- Investigate and resolve patient/family/member concerns regarding patient care, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department, including one (1) year of leadership experience.
- BSN or bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, or completion of a relevant bachelor's degree within two (2) years of hire.
- Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Masters degree preferred.
- ICU experience required.
- CNML, NE, or other related specialty certification preferred.
