About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Managing Consultant to join our Air and Climate team at Ramboll. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, managing project deliverables, and overseeing the preparation of comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain client relationships and manage project deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner.
  • Manage projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations.
  • Critically review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations, compiling and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings to coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Estimate emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials.
  • Serve as the technical lead overseeing Consultant-level staff on complex projects.
  • Participate in local, national, and international scientific and trade group meetings.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Meet Ramboll and client safety training and workplace safety requirements.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in air quality and a proven track record of delivering complex projects. You will have a B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or a science discipline, and at least 15 years of air quality experience, largely in a consulting environment, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and life sciences industries.

You will have strong computing skills, including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing, and strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organization skills. You will also have demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations.
