Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the SICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of practice.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in the SICU.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour night shift, with flexibility to float to other units as needed.
Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • A weekly gross salary of $2,106, based on 36 hours of work per week.
  • A housing allowance of $606 per week.
  • A miscellaneous and incidental expenses allowance of $420 per week.
  • Overtime pay at a rate of $69 per hour, after 40 hours of work per week.
