Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case.
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, demonstrating advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the first scrub role.
- Monitor and restock supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques and actively monitoring situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
- Identify and care for specimens, and teach scrub roles to newly hired Surgical Technologists and RNs.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Certificate Program Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification upon hire, or Licensed Practical Nurse certification upon hire.
